Conservatroll makes up numbers, film at 11

Another sine qua non of being a right-wingnut is refusing to embrace positive findings if a Democratic president stands to take any credit for them. GraniteGrok now has a post claiming that the estimated 14.4 million jobs the U.S. has added in the past six years don’t mean much:

“[T]hat job growth is stretched over almost six full years, during which time the working age population grew by 15.8 million. In that respect, we’ve lost ground on jobs under Obama … Continued growth is good but ONLY if it keeps up with population growth … it is clear, simply by results, that the Obama Administration’s actions (based on socialist / Statists philosophy) have come up way short.”

Skip is talking out of his ass, which has to be crippled by pseudo-laryngitis by now.

The U.S. population as a whole has grown by about 15 million since early 2010, but only about 60% of the population is between 18 and 65, meaning that the country has about 9 million more people of working age than it did six years ago. Add in the fact that a great many of these people are students, stay-at-home parents or not otherwise seeking employment, and Skip’s attempt to piss on the labor-growth parade only winds up with him soaking his goddamn Depends again.

Notice that, at least for present purposes, I am not even concerned with how much Obama deserves credit for this development. Or about more people having jobs, even. The thing that is undeniable is that Skip, blithering co-bloggers and the lapdog Granite Grok commentariat are pungently dishonest pieces of shit, and should be reminded of this every time they have the nerve to type words for others too see. I’m banned (it takes about 30 seconds to create a new Disqus account, but that gets old), but it would be interesting to see what would happen if someone else quite reasonably posted this same information in a comment. Such an interlocutor would be immediately shit on and ridiculed as a libtard and a liar himself or herself.

I swear, some people’s entire reason for getting up in the morning is to spew bullshit and lies. It’s one thing when such types ate paid to do this, a la Fox “News” reporters and lawyers — it’s ignoble, but understandable. But when you’re just a resentful, bumblefuck blogger, hell, can’t you get things right at least, oh, 10 percent of the time? Even if only by accident?
